We’re getting extremely excited! The Graduation Ceremony will be held at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University at 3:00pm on Sunday, June 3. Students are asked to arrive between 12:45pm and 1:45pm.
Students must enter the Center via the Northwest Rotunda (see directions). The doors will open at 12:45pm.
• Be certain to allow time for parking and entry
• Students arriving after 1:45 pm will be seated in the last row
• Students arriving after 2:15 pm will not be able to participate in the ceremony
• Upon arrival you will be greeted and given directions to the cap & gown area
• Family and guests may enter via the Northwest, Northeast, or Southeast doors (doors open at 12:45pm)
• Guests will be greeted and given instructions to arena seating
• Arena concessions will be available to guests prior to and during the ceremony
Upon arrival (12:45 pm-1:45 pm), you will check in, receive your cap & gown, have your photograph taken and be seated on the arena floor. A light snack will be provided for graduates prior to our ceremony. Due to the length of the day, please plan on having a meal prior to your arrival.
Graduates must plan to stay for the entire ceremony which will conclude at approximately 5:45 pm. Each graduate will receive an expense check for $45.00 and a Class of 2012 T-shirt at the conclusion of the program.
Dress: Caps & gowns are traditional black, therefore dark dress slacks for males and dark slacks or dress/skirt for females is appropriate. Dark shoes or flats are recommended (due to stairs and ramps, flip flops and high heels are strongly discouraged). Purses, cameras, cell phones, etc. should be left with family/guests upon arrival. We will not have the capability to secure items during the ceremony. As you consider your hair style, please be mindful that your cap will fit snuggly on your head.
Photos/DVDs: A professional photographer will take a picture of each graduate with their diploma. ECOT’s graduation website (www.ecotgraduation.com) will contain information regarding the purchase of student photos and DVDs of the ceremony.
Webcast: For family and friends who cannot attend our ceremony, we will provide a live webcast that can be accessed on ECOT’s website (www.ecotohio.org).
